James Kramer recorded his first live cash in January 2003. He participated in a $10,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em Championship – WPT during the Fourth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica. He placed 16th and cashed $12,216.

Following this, in October 2006, he entered the $200 + 30 No Limit Hold’em at the Fall Poker Classic in Shakopee. James clinched victory and won $42,367.

At the Deepstack Extravaganza III in Las Vegas in July 2014, he cashed for $27,452. James participated in a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em #65 and secured 11th place.
