James Gorham

James Gorham is an American entrepreneur and poker player from Vista, California. Gorham has earned over $1.3 million in live tournament winnings, including one WSOP bracelet. His largest cash prize, amounting to $765,226, came from winning the 37th World Series of Poker in July 2016.

James Gorham: Live Tournament Participation

James Gorham’s first live cash was recorded in February 2006 at the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles. He participated in $2,425 + 165 Limit Hold’em, placing 3rd and earned $27,063.

He achieved his best live cash in July 2006 by competing in $1,500 No Limit Hold’em at the 37th WSOP in Las Vegas. Gorham secured 1st place, bringing home $765,226 in prize money.

In June 2007, Gorham competed at the 38th WSOP, participating in $1,500 Limit Hold’em. He finished the tournament in 5th place and cashed for $53,412.

Eight years later, in July 2015, he claimed 1st place in $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Main Event (Event#21) at the WPTDeepStacks in Los Angeles, taking home $95,290.

April 2016, Gorham entered another $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the WPTDeepstacks in Thunder Valley. He took 2nd place, netting $56,595.

Fast forward to February 2024, he placed 5th in $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event (Event #57) at the Los Angeles Poker Classic, cashing for $80,350.

Gorham’s most recent appearance was in July 2024 at the 55th WSOP. There, he finished 216th in $10,000 No Limit Hold’em MAIN EVENT World Championship (Bracelet Event #81) for $60,000.
