James Chen is a professional poker player who may not be well-known to many people who don’t regularly play poker in Macau, but he has recently become very popular in the tournament poker scene.

James Chen: Early Life

Chen is a Taiwanese professional poker player. The results he achieved in live tournaments date back to 2014. He quickly established himself by running often in the top live tournaments in Asia, Australia, and the USA.  He has recently become well-known in the world of poker tournaments.

James Chen: Poker Career Highlights

James Chen’s Best Live Cash: $3,142,848 and ranked in the AllTime Money List in 142nd place. 

Reviewing Chen’s achievements, before 2019 he played the final table in eleven events. In 2015, he won HK$230,700 at Macau Poker Cup. He won his first MPC 23 No Limit High Roller event, earning HK$ 1,704,000 ($219,850). In 206, he won his second MPC 25 No Limit Hold’em High Roller event, winning HK$ 2,273,000 (US$293,044).

Chen won two events at 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship and earned a third High Roller title. A total of over US$1.2 million in live earnings and made his largest love score for two and a half years. 

With the succeeding year, Chen played at the final table  in three other events. He finished seventh in Macau PokerStars Championship Macau HK$500,000 No Limit Hold’em Super High Roller.

James won HK$1,605,560 (US$206,611). He won 9 times at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau HK$ 100,000 High Roller event. He won as a runner up into several events that made 2018 a spectacular year for him. 

In 2019, he won his first ever seven digit payout US$1,000,023 at the US$25,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller. He ranked the first place in Taiwan’s All Time Money List.
