Jafari Ferguson

Jafari Ferguson, famously known as Michael Blackson is a Ghanaian-American cash game poker player, a renowned actor and a comedian, who currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He is best known  for his roles in “Next Friday” in 2000, “The Savages” in 2007, and “Meet The Blacks” in 2016. Michael has also appeared on Hustler Casino Live.

Michael Blackson: Early Life

Jafari Ferguson aka Michael Blackson was born on 28th November 1972 in Ghana. He moved to the U.S. with his parents in 1987, seeking new opportunities. By 1992, he was starting out in the comedy scene, performing in small local clubs around Philadelphia.

After arriving in the late ’80s, Michael spent three years in northern New Jersey before making his way to Philadelphia, where he settled and began chasing his dream of becoming a comedian. He performed at open mic nights across the city, gradually making a name for himself. It was during one of these shows that he caught the eye of the renowned rapper Ice Cube.
