Jack Ward’s first recorded live cash occurred in January 1990 at the Super Stars Of Poker in Tahoe. He finished in 2nd place in a $300 + 30 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, cashing $7,500.

Later in August of that year, he participated in a $1,000 + 50 Omaha Hi/Lo at the 6th Annual Diamond Jim Brady in Bell Gardens. Jack clinched victory and won $46,800.
