Hung Van La is an American poker player who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, California, with over $1.2 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $444,312 came when he finished in 3rd place at the L.A. Poker Classic in February 2005.

Hung Van La recorded his first live cash in June 2004, he placed 3rd in a $2,500 + 100 No Limit Hold’em event at Festa al Lago II in Las Vegas, earning $34,068.

Later that year, in October 2004, La continued his strong performance by finishing 5th in the $10,000 + 200 The Doyle Brunson North American No Limit Hold’em Poker Championship at Festa al Lago III in Las Vegas, earning $120,000.

Furthermore, in May 2004, he competed in the $10,000 World Championship Event at the 35th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, where he achieved 22nd place and received $120,000.

Building on his earlier success, in July 2005, La participated in the $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em World Championship Event at the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas. He finished 49th and earned $173,880.

Additionally, in February 2005, he demonstrated his skill by securing 3rd place in the $9,603 + 397 Main Event No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Poker Classic in Los Angeles, cashing $444,312.

More recently, in August 2018, La achieved a 4th place finish in a $500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em Monthly Tournament in San Jose, earning $7,200.
