Hon Le’s first recorded live cash occurred in March 1996 at the Winnin’ o’ the Green in Bell Gardens. He finished in 1st place in a $200 Limit Hold’em, winning $14,800.

In August 2002, Hon entered in a $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Legends of Poker in Bell Gardens. He ended up in 2nd place, securing his best live cash of $122,550 to date.

Later that year, in December, Hon played in a $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em at the Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic. He made 1st place finish, winning $89,628.

Following this, in April 2004, he joined in a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em Final Day at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas. He finished in 19th place, taking home $66,532.

Then, in June 2004, Hon participated in a $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em at the California State Poker Championship. He ended up 1st place, winning $93,240.
