Herbert Montalbano’s first recorded live cash occurred in April 2004 at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas. He secured 29th place in a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Final Day, cashing $49,899.

In January 2005, Herbert played in a $10,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event at the Sixth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica. He secured 18th place and earned $33,628.

Following this, he joined in a $9,700 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event during the United States Poker Championship in Atlantic City. He secured 20th place and cashed $25,317.

Later in December of that year, he participated in a $15,000 + 400 WPT Doyle Brunson NAPC – No Limit Hold’em at the Fifth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He placed 66th and took home $25,370.

Fast forward to March 2014. At the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose, he secured his biggest live cash to date of $134,300. In this event, he engaged in a $7,150 + 450 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event and finished in 7th place.

At the Card Player Poker Tour in Durant in April 2015, he earned a cash prize of $59,203. Herbert entered in a $1,675 No Limit Hold’em Event #9 and secured 3rd place.

He finished in 2nd place at the River Presidents Day Series in February 2023, earning $19,417.
