Henrik Hecklen: Poker Career

Henrik secured his first live tournament cash at the European Poker Tour in London at the end of September 2010. Henrick won a turbo tournament there, earning 11,400 British pounds in prize money.

Hecklen participated in his first WSOP in June 2014 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He made final tables in No Limit Hold’em and Seven Card Stud as well as the main event. He finished in the money and took home more than $200,000 in cash prizes.

Henrik took home €293,000 for winning the Estrellas High Roller of the EPT in Barcelona in August 2014. He also earned more than £70,000 for placing second at the UK and Ireland Poker Tour High Roller in London in October 2014 after losing heads-up to Olivier Busquet. Also, he reached the sixth day of the main event at the 2018 WSOP and was eliminated there in 38th place, earning about $190,000.

Hecklen defeated 194 other players to win the €500,000 top prize at the EPT in Prague in December 2018.  Sam Greenwood, who won nearly $1.3 million, defeated him at the Super High Roller final table in January 2019 at PokerStars Caribbean Adventures in the Bahamas. Hecklen also placed second overall, and won a Triton Poker Series event in Budva, Montenegro, in May 2019. He took home a prize of about $435,000.

He placed fifth in the $100,000 High Roller at the WSOP in 2021. In May 2022, he won the No Limit Hold’em Triton Series main event in Madrid, earning $435,000 and securing his highest prize money to date of nearly 2.2 million euros. Also reached the final table of the Triton Series main event in September 2022 in Kyrenia, northern Cyprus. He came in fourth place, earning almost $1 million USD. 

In October 2022, he also won the Super High Roller at the EPT London, earning over £650,000 in cash. More so, in March 2023, he won approximately $500,000 for placing 5th at the Triton Series in Hội An. He beat Peter Eastgate in May 2023 by placing fourth in the Triton Series in Kyrenia and earning $1 million.
