Gioi Luong kicked off his poker journey on May 18th, 2003 at the Mini Series of Poker in Los Angeles (Bell Gardens). He jumped into a $540 No Limit Hold’em event and finished in 8th place, walking away with $1,685.

Fast forward a little over a year to August 26th, 2004. Gioi made waves at the Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. He entered the $3,100 Mariani/Buss Open, which featured a mix of Hold ‘Em and Seven Card Stud. He snagged the top spot, pocketing $72,360.

His success didn’t stop there. On June 28th, 2007, he took part in the 38th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. He competed in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em – Six Handed event. He secured a solid 6th place finish and brought home $110,860.

Then, on June 22nd, 2008, he returned to the WSOP, this time taking on the $2,500 Deuce to Seven Triple Draw event. He finished in 3rd place and added another $61,582 to his bankroll.

On April 1st, 2010, Gioi scored big at the Liz Flynt Spring Poker Classic in Gardena, California. He entered the $225 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event and came out on top, cashing in $75,000.

After a series of great performances, his last appearance as of writing was at the Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) on July 12th, 2016, in Los Angeles (Bell Gardens). In the $150 Omaha 8/OB event, he finished in 2nd place and took home $2,165.
