Gerry Drehobl’s first live cash occurred in April 23, 2004, he entered a $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at the 35th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 40th place and cashed $4,440.

Shortly thereafter, on April 28, 2004, he achieved significant success by winning 1st place in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament at the same series, earning $365,900.

Following this success, in June 2004, he participated in a $2,000 + $80 No-Limit Hold’em event at the Festa al Lago II in Las Vegas. There, he finished in 9th place and cashed $5,334.

In addition, in July 2004, he played in a $2,000 + $80 No-Limit Hold’em tournament at the Mirage Poker Showdown, finishing in 13th place and took home $5,271.
