Gary Do’s first recorded live cash occurred in February 2003 during the L.A Poker Classic in Los Angeles. He finished in 15th place in a $500 + 40 Omaha Hi/Lo Event #4, cashing $1,280.

During the 36th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2005, he finished in 4th place. He joined in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em and secured his biggest live cash of $164,500.

In July 2005, Gary competed in a $1,500 + 70 No Limit Hold’em during the Ultimate Poker Challenge in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place and won $24,445.
