Galen Kester is an American professional poker player from Tunica, Mississippi, with over $1.2 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $167,035 came when he secured his first bracelet at the 32nd WSOP in April 2001.

Galen Kester’s first recorded live cash occurred in April 2001 during the 32nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place in a $1,500 + 90 Pot Limit Omaha, winning $167,035.

In January 2003, Galen played in a $1,000 + 60 Pot Limit Hold’em during the Fourth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica. He clinched victory and won $152,096.

During the Gold Strike World Poker Open in Tunica in January 2006, he clinched another victory. Galen took part in a $2,000 + 70 No Limit Hold’em and $101,212 added to his winnings.

Galen continued his winnings streak at the Gold Strike World Poker Open in August 2012. He competed in a $3,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event and won a cash prize of $165,000.

Most recently, in March 2020, he competed in a $135 No Limit Hold’em – RG Pro Bounty at RGPS All-Stars Presented by PokerGo. Galen placed 44th and took home $221.
