Farzad Rouhani is an American professional poker player who currently resides on Brigantine, New Jersey. He was originally from Iran but then moved to the United States in 1985 to attend college. However, instead of pursuing a career in medicine, he became a professional poker player.
He has over $1.8 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $429,065 came when he finished in 2nd place at the 37th World Series of Poker held in Las Vegas in July 2006. Rouhani clinched his first bracelet at the 39th World Series of Poker in June 2008.
Farzad Rouhani recorded his first live cash in December 2000, he began making his mark by competing in the United States Poker Championship in Atlantic City. He entered the $500 + 40 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split event and achieved a second-place finish, earning $17,600.
Moving forward to July 2006, Rouhani participated in the 37th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. In the $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event, he finished in second place, which earned him $429,065.
In June 2008, Rouhani demonstrated his skills at the 39th WSOP in Las Vegas. On June 5, he won the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo event, securing first place and a bracelet while taking home $232,911.
Later that month, on June 30, he also competed in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event, where he finished in fourth place and cashed $231,584.
Continuing his success, Rouhani took part in the 40th WSOP in Las Vegas in June 2009. He entered the $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo event and achieved a second-place finish, earning $266,804.
In November 2011, Rouhani participated in the Borgata Fall Poker Open in Atlantic City. He played in the $2,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event, finishing in seventh place and earning $59,084.
Most recently, in April 2024, Rouhani competed in the Talking Stick Monthly End of the Month tournament in Scottsdale. He played in the $160 No Limit Hold’em event, where he finished in 20th place and earned $470.
