Eric Wasserson, high-stakes regular, has earned $1.2 million in tournaments, most of which have come in the last three years. Eric Wasserson: Early Life

Wasserson grew up in Narbeth, Pennsylvania, a small suburb just outside of Philadelphia, as the younger of two children. 

His father is the owner of a home theater company, and his mother was an architect before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Wasserson’s older sister owns and runs a jewelry business. However, it was another family that set the groundwork for his future career. It wasn’t long until his grades suffered as a result of poker and other diversions. His parents believed that a change of scenery would be beneficial. Wasserson spent a little more than two years at Lehigh pursuing a finance degree. However, his heart wasn’t in it. 

Poker had become more than just a profitable hobby for Wasserson, With his bankroll at an all-time high, he decided to enter the world of professional poker.

Eric Wasserson: Poker Career

Eric Wasserson is a well-known poker player from Narbeth, New York. The $10,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Festa Al Lago main event at Las Vegas was his first live tournament as a pro.

Wasserson cashed for pennies and then utilized that confidence to win a $1,000 event at Borgata for $97,165 a few weeks later. Wasserson, on the other hand, knew early on that he was more of a cash game player. 

Wasserson started learning different poker games before high-stakes mixed games were popular. However, he knew he had to diversify to constantly find activity.  In his poker career, he has earned more than USD 1,732,191.00 in live poker events alone. Cash games are not even considered. His most recent public appearance was in the $ 25,000 No Limit Hold’em – Heads-Up Championship Las Vegas event. Eric Wasserson competed in over 50 live competitions in all. He is ranked 725th in the United States and 1343rd all-time in terms of money. His most notable achievement was winning more than USD 545,772.00 in a single live tournament.
