Eric Chhor recorded his first live cash in February 2004, he played in a $100 + $20 No Limit Hold’em tournament, “Winnin’ o’ the Green,” in Los Angeles, where he placed 8th and received $920.

Subsequently, in November 2004, he entered a $330 No Limit Hold’em Holiday Bonus Tournament in Los Angeles, securing 3rd place and earning $28,245.

His success continued in May 2009 when Chhor competed in the $300 + $35 Limit Hold’em event at the California State Poker Championship in Los Angeles, claiming 1st place and taking home $31,346.

Later that month, he participated in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the 40th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, finishing 10th and earning $80,566.
