Eric Baldwin: Early Life

Baldwin was a star baseball player in college, playing for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks and helping them win the NCAA National Championships in 2005. After his baseball career, he switched to playing poker and became successful in that too. He studied psychology as his main subject and math as a minor in college, which gives him an edge in poker by helping him understand people’s behaviors and make smart mathematical decisions at the poker table.

Eric Baldwin: Poker Career

On January 31st, 2006, Baldwin participated in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2006 Canadian Poker Championship in Paradise Island, securing 3rd position and earning $57,528

Later that year, on August 8th, he showcased his skills again, this time in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 37th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, where he claimed 6th place, earning $32,828.

Moving forward to April 3rd, 2008, he triumphed in the $2,500 + 120 No Limit Hold’em event at the World Poker Tour – WPT World Championship in Las Vegas, seizing the 1st position and pocketing $148,860.

His success continued into April 23rd, 2009, when he dominated the $2,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2009 Deep Stack Extravaganza II in Las Vegas, securing another 1st place finish and earning $198,933. Just two months later, on June 23rd, 2009, he showcased his skills once more in the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Hold’em event at the 40th World Series of Poker – WSOP 2009 in Las Vegas, finishing 3rd and pocketing $259,534.

Fast forward to June 10th, 2012, he competed in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #21) at the 43rd World Series of Poker – WSOP 2012 in Las Vegas, securing the 5th position and earning $101,948. Continuing his streak, on July 2nd, 2014, he participated in the $1,111 No Limit Hold’em – The Little One for One Drop (Event #62) at the 45th World Series of Poker – WSOP 2014 in Las Vegas, finishing 5th and earned $156,352.

His latest cash was on January 23rd, 2024, in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller (Online Ring Event #12) at the World Series of Poker Circuit where he finished 3rd and earned $21,239.

Eric Baldwin: The Two-time Bracelet Winner

Baldwin reached a notable milestone in his poker journey on June 16th, 2009, when he secured his inaugural bracelet at the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event during the 40th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Emerging as the victor, he also claimed a substantial prize of $521,991. Transitioning to his second bracelet triumph, on June 18th, 2018, at the 49th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, he once again demonstrated his skill in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event. He then seized the top position, earning $319,580.
