Fast forward to 2008, a year that marked the first breakthrough in his tournament career. In January of that year, he won the $8,000 NLH event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. This victory secured him a stunning $2 million prize. The event was held under the EPT brand, and was recognized as an EPT title. Just a few months later, in October, he won the $15,400 WPT Championship event, pocketing a staggering $1.4 million.

June 2011 marked another milestone in his career when he captured his first WSOP gold bracelet. He dominated the $10,000 7-Card Stud Championship, claiming a $331,639 cash prize. This achievement marked his Triple Crown by securing titles in the WSOP, EPT, and WPT.
