Born in 1989 in Puistola, Helsinki, Eelis Pärssinen nurtured childhood dreams of becoming a professional sportsman or a business owner, prioritizing autonomy in managing his time and responsibilities. He attended Tikkurilan Lukio for high school and pursued studies at Patria Pilot Training during college. Introduced to poker in 2006 inspired by the World Poker Tour TV show, Pärssinen, now one of the youngest professional players globally, utilized freeroll campaigns and balanced his pursuits with a warehouse job.

Rather than confining himself to free money games, Pärssinen ventured into freerolls, gradually accumulating funds while ascending the ranks in big blinds. Currently, Pärssinen is a devoted family man who dedicates his time to his two daughters. In January 2012, Eelis Parssinen made an early mark at the Helsinki Freezeout in Helsinki. He secured 7th place and cashed for $9,277 in the €2,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em Main Event. This laid the foundation for his future successes.

Fast forward to September 2015, Parssinen demonstrated his prowess by clinching the top spot in the €500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em Finnish Championship Event at the Finnish Open Championships in Helsinki. His strategic acumen earned him $36,197.

His journey continued in September 2023 at the Diamond 10K PLO High Roller during The Grand Big Wrap PLO by $ZTO$ in Rozvadov. Despite securing 2nd place, Parssinen demonstrated his consistency by cashing an impressive $351,235 in the €9,700 + 300 Pot Limit Omaha event.

November 2023 brought both challenges and victories. On the 3rd, Parssinen exhibited resilience in the $50,000 + 2,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Monte Carlo, finishing in 12th place with a cash prize of $72,000. 

The following day, he showcased his prowess once again, securing the 2nd place in the $25,000 + 1,000 Pot Limit Omaha event and cashing an impressive $262,000.
