Edward “Bolivia” Moncada is an American professional poker player, co-founder and CEO of Blackfolio and Datablock from Tulsa, Oklahoma, with over $761.5K in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $298,070 came when he won his first bracelet at the 36th WSOP in June 2005.

Edward “Bolivia” Moncada: Early Life

Born on October 18, 1973, Edward attended Cascia Hall Preparatory School. After graduating, he moved from his hometown to study at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a degree in civil and environmental engineering in 1997.

In June 2014, he co-founded Blockfolio, a leading cryptocurrency app that enables users to track their cryptocurrency investments and later became a CEO in 2017. Edward has also served as a foundation board member for Dash. Additionally, he is the Co-Founder and CEO of Datablock, a protocol focused on data ownership and rights management. Unfortunately, FTX acquired Blackfolio for $150 million.

Currently, he serves as a co-founder and CEO at Zoomie and Executive Chair at The Zoomie Foundation. He also serves as a co-founder and managing partner at Protofund.

Edward Moncada first recorded live cash occurred in September 2002 during the Sweet September in Gardena. He finished in 3rd place in a $100 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $987.

In November 2003, Edward played in a $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em during Showdown at the Sands in Atlantic City. He finished in 1st place and won $44,800.

During the Legends of Poker in Los Angeles in August 2004, he finished in 8th place. Edward took part in a $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em Championship Final Day – WPT and earned $66,100.

Following this, Edward joined in a $15,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – WPT Championship in December 2004. He secured 16th place and took home $49,007.

At the 36th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in June 2005, he won his biggest live cash of $298,070. Edward entered in a $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em and finished in 1st place.

Later in August of that year, he participated in a £5,000 + 50 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event during the European Poker Championships in London. Edward finished in 3rd place and earned $120,838.

Most recently, in June 2015, he competed in a $1,600 No Limit Hold’em #28 at the Deep Stack Extravaganza III in Las Vegas. Edward placed 24th and cashed $9,705.
