Ed Corrado

Ed Corrado was an American poker player and entrepreneur from Naples, Florida, with over $682.2K in live tournament earnings. During his poker career, he won his first ring at the WSOPC Tunica in January 2006. Ed’s best live cash of $80,865 came when he finished in 3rd place at the WSOPC Southern Indiana in October 2006. Ed passed away on March 5, 2021.

Ed Corrado: Early Life

He was born on June 2, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Saint Mel High School in 1949 and later served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. For 40 years, he dedicated his adult life to running his own painting and contracting business. In 2000, Ed achieved his first significant success by winning the Big One in Fort Lauderdale.

Live Tournament Participation

Ed Corrado’s first recorded live cash occurred in October 2000 during the Big One in Fort Lauderdale. He finished in 1st place in a $500 Hold’em, winning $12,000.

In December 2000, Ed played in a $1,000 + 60 Limit Hold’em during the United States Poker Championship in Atlantic City. He clinched another victory and won $40,800.

Continuing his career, Ed competed in a $2,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em at the WSOPC in Tunica on January 19th, 2006. He secured his first ring and bagged $59,475.

Shortly after, on February 14th, $9,700 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event at the WSOPC in Atlantic City. He finished in 6th place and earned $72,168.

Later in September of that year, he participated in a $1,500 + 70 No Limit Hold’em at the WSOPC in Tunica. Ed finished in 2nd place and took home $58,386.

At the WSOPC in Southern Indiana in October 2006, he earned his biggest live cash of $80,865. Ed entered in a $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event and secured 3rd place.

Most recently, in April 2014, he competed in a $300 + 40 No Limit Hold’em  #12 during the Spring Break Poker Classic in Biloxi. Ed placed 6th and cashed $1,141.
