Dustin Dirksen

Dustin Dirksen is an American professional poker player and law school graduate who also manages three small businesses. Residing in Iowa City, he has accumulated over $2.1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $400,000 came in January 2009 when he finished 6th at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Paradise Island. Dirksen is currently ranked 3rd on Iowa’s All-Time Money List.

Dustin Dirksen recorded his first live cash in January 2006, finishing in the money at the WPT Main Event – No Limit Hold’em at the PCA in Paradise Island, earning $7,800. Later that same year, he secured 43rd place in another PCA event, adding $13,500 to his poker earnings.

In June 2007, Dirksen competed in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 38th WSOP in Las Vegas. He achieved a 2nd-place finish and earned $381,381. The following year, in June 2008, he participated in the $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the 39th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 5th for $135,757.

In January 2009, Dirksen made his best live cash performance at the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event during the PCA at Paradise Island. He placed 6th, taking home $400,000.

In November 2021, Dirksen competed in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo – 8 Handed event at the 52nd WSOP in Las Vegas. He secured 2nd place and won $115,440. The following year, in June 2022, he placed 2nd again in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship at the 53rd WSOP in Las Vegas, earning $272,408.

In June 2024, Dirksen played in the $3,000 Limit Hold’em – 6-Handed event at the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 25th and adding $6,175 to his career earnings.
