Douglas Carli, also known as ‘Rico,’ is an American professional poker player and retired stockbroker. He resides in Alliance, Ohio, and has accumulated over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $116,936 came in July 2006 when he finished 7th at the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas. Carli is also a three-time WSOP Circuit ring winner.
Doug Carli, a former minor league baseball player, spent over 15 years as a pitcher and outfielder, earning an MVP award in one season. Alongside baseball, he ran a stock brokerage branch and retired early after making successful investments during the Internet bubble. Carli has played poker since childhood, often with his father and older brother. After retiring, he took a break from poker but returned in 2005, eventually becoming a dominant force on the WSOP Circuit.
