Don Zewin was an American poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada, born on September 26, 1952, with over $1.8 million in live tournament earnings. During his poker career, he won at the WPT Championship in April 2003. Don best live cash of $210,629 came when he finished in 3rd place at the 46th WSOP in July 2015. He passed away on October 31, 2021, due to complications arising from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Don Zewin’s first recorded live cash occurred in February 1981 at Amarillo Slim’s Superbowl Of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 3rd place in a $1,000 Hold’em, cashing $6,700.
In May 1989, Don played in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – World Championship at the 20th WSOP. He finished in 3rd place and earned $151,000.
April 2003, Don entered in the $1,500 Limit Hold’em Event #1 at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas. He clinched victory and won $118,146.
During the Bellagio Festa Al Lago IV in October 2005, he finished in 4th place. Don joined in a $10,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em – 2nd Annual Doyle Brunson NAPC and took home $189,630.
Fast forward to July 2015. At 46th WSOP, he secured his biggest live cash of $210,629. In this event, Don participated in a $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship Event #63 and finished in 3rd place.
Moreover, he finished in 3rd place at the 48th WSOP in June 2017, earning a prize of $163,557.
Most recently, in December 2019, he competed in a $365 No Limit Hold’em Event #17 at the WSOPC Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens. Don placed 3rd and cashed $25,470.
