Dewey Weum’s first recorded live cash occurred in May 1983 at the 14th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 8th place in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $5,820.

In January 1993, Dewey entered in a $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event at the Queens Poker Classic III in Las Vegas. He finished in 2nd place and earned $96,600.

At the Queens Poker Classic IV in January 1994, he won his biggest live cash of $282,000. Dewey participated in a $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em and finished in 1st place.

Following this, in May 1998, he competed in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship at the 29th WSOP. Dewey reached the final table by securing 4th place and took home $250,000.

Year later, in May 1999, Dewey entered in a $3,500 No Limit Hold’em at the 30th WSOP. He finished in 3rd place and earned a cash prize of $68,165.
