Dean Hamrick’s first recorded live cash occurred in November 2004 at the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic. He finished in 22nd place in a $2,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $3,409.

In the following years, Dean clinched victory at the Bellagio Weekly Tournaments in July 2006. He won $70,345 in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event.

Two years later, in July 2008, he entered in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship at the 39th WSOP. Dean finished in 10th place, eaning a prize of $591,869.
