David Tran is an American poker player from El Monte, California, who has earned over $2.2 million in live tournament winnings. His largest live cash, amounting to $737,685 was achieved when he reached the final table and finished 2nd in the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Open held in Atlantic City in January 2008.

David Tran recorded his first live cash in June 1998 at the California State Poker Championship in Los Angeles. He competed in a $300 No Limit Hold’em event, finishing in 6th place and earning $2,300.

Following this, in November 2005, Tran competed in the $300 + $30 No Limit Hold’em Holiday Bonus Tournament in Los Angeles. He achieved 2nd place, which earned him $70,084.
