Dario “Supernova” Minieri

Dario Minieri is an Italian professional poker player and ex-member of Team PokerStars Pro. He earned the nickname “Supernova” for achieving Supernova Elite status, the highest level in the now-defunct PokerStars’ VIP program.

Born on February 10th, 1985, in Rome, Minieri has accumulated nearly $2 million in live tournament winnings, including a WSOP gold bracelet, with his largest cash totaling $528,418.

In addition, he was the first player to use 3 million Frequent Player Points to purchase a 2007 Porsche Cayman S. Minieri streams on his Twitch channel, dariominieriofficial, where he has 3.2K followers. He has also appeared on High Stakes Poker.

Dario Minieri debuted on May 14th, 2009, in HSP Season 5 Episode 11. He participated in a $400/800 +$200 ANTE ($1.6K) No Limit Holdem game with Eli Elezra, Phil Laak, Tom Dwan, and others. Minieri incurred a $71,100 loss.

He achieved his best live cash during HSP Season 5 Episode 12. Competing in another $400/800 +$200 ANTE ($1.6K) No Limit Holdem game with the late Doyle Brunson, David Peat, Mike Baxter, and others, he won a whopping $133,000.

Minieri experienced his biggest loss during his most recent appearance in HSP Season 6 Episode 5, on March 5th, 2010. He dropped a staggering $264,800 after sitting down with Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, and others. They played a $400/800 +$200 ANTE ($1.6K) No Limit Holdem game.

Dario Minieri: Live Tournament Participation

Dario Minieri recorded his first live cash in November 2005. He participated in a €500 + 40 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the Italian Poker Championships held in Nova Gorica. Minieri achieved 4th position and took home $3,141.

In June 2008, Minieri earned a coveted WSOP bracelet after triumphing in a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 39th WSOP in Las Vegas. He emerged victorious and collected $528,418, which remains his largest live cash to date.

He captured his first European Poker Tour title in October 2009 by competing in a €12,255 No Limit Hold’em High Roller event at EPT Warsaw. Minieri claimed 1st place and secured $115,130.

A year later, in October 2010, he added another title to his resume. He participated in a €3,200 + 300 No Limit Hold’em event at the Italian Poker Tour in Sanremo. Dario finished in 1st place and won $72,474.

Most recently, in March 2024, Minieri competed in a €390 + 60 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Skill Poker Master held in Nova Gorica. He ended up in 39th position and cashed for $2,498.
