Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino is an Italian professional poker player born on April 5th, 1987, in Naples, Italy. He currently resides in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Sammartino has accumulated over $16.6 million in live tournament earnings. Dario secured his first WSOP gold bracelet during the 55th WSOP in July 2024. Notably, his largest live cash is an impressive $6,000,000 earned after finishing as a runner-up in 50th WSOP in July 2019.

He is ranked 1st on the Italy All-Time Money List. Beyond the felt, Sammartino is the founder of Padel Haus Napoli and the University of Gaming. 

Dario Sammartino: Live Tournament Participation

Dario Sammartino began his poker career with his first live cash in November 2008. He participated in a €1,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Royal Poker Tour, Red Sea, Sharm el Sheikh. Sammartino placed 8th and took home $4,781.

Subsequently, in April 2015, Sammartino competed in a €98,000 + 2,000 No Limit Hold’em Super High Roller Event at the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo. He made it to the final table finishing 4th for $782,465.

In January 2016, he reached the final table in a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller 8-Handed Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Paradise Island. He placed 3rd and received $542,160 in prize money.

June 2017, Sammartino competed in a $111,111 No Limit Hold’em High Roller for One Drop Event at the 48th WSOP in Las Vegas. He finished in 3rd place receiving $1,608,295.

In May 2022, he played in a $75,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller Bounty Event. It happened during the 53rd WSOP in Las Vegas. He finished 3rd and earned $498,696.

In a recent appearance in June 2024, Sammartino won the $2,500 Mixed Games: Omaha 8 or Better event. It occurred during the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas. He secured his first WSOP gold bracelet and collected $222,703.
