Dao Kim Bac’s first recorded live cash occurred in July 2002 during the Larry Flynt Grand Slam of Poker in Gardena. He finished in 4th place in a $300 + 30 Omaha Hi/Lo, cashing $2,195.

He clinched victory during the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December 2004. Dao took part in a $1,500 + 70 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo and won $75,078.

On August 5th, 2005, Dao played in a $300 + 40 No Limit Hold’em at the Legends of Poker. He clinched another victory and $52,380 was added to his winnings.

Shortly after, on August 27th, 2005, he participated in a $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em – WPT Main Event at the Legends of Poker. Dao placed 7th and secured his biggest live cash of $166,800.

At the 38th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2007, he won a cash prize of $157,975. Dao joined in a $1,000 S.H.O.E. and finished in 1st place.
