Daniel Heimiller is an American professional poker player based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on June 25th, 1962, in California and raised in Livonia, Michigan. Before pursuing his poker career, he worked as a cab driver in Las Vegas and as an industrial engineer.

Throughout his poker journey, Heimiller has accumulated over $7.6 million in live tournament earnings, with his highest cash totaling $627,462. Notably, he holds two WSOP bracelets and two WSOP Circuit rings. In 1999, he was recognized as the Best All-Around Player at the Commerce Casino, and in 2014, he received the Spirit of Poker award from PokerListings.

Daniel Heimiller: Live Tournament Participation

Daniel Heimiller’s poker journey began in December 1992. He participated in a $200 1/2 Hold’em and 1/2 Stud event at the Winter Oasis in Las Vegas, Nevada. Heimiller finished 2nd and pocketed $3,440.

Fast forward to May 2002, he won his first WSOP bracelet in a $2,000 1/2 Hold’em and 1/2 7 Card Stud event at the 33rd WSOP in Las Vegas, taking home $108,300.

In September 2008, Heimiller competed in a $9,600 + $400 No Limit Hold’em event at the WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City. He finished 3rd and cashed for $387,500.

Transitioning to October 2012, he won his first WSOP Circuit ring at the WSOP Circuit in Southern Indiana by triumphing in a $1,675 No Limit Hold’em Main Event for $117,300.

Following this success, Heimiller captured his second WSOP Circuit ring in February 2013 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He won the $365 No Limit Hold’em event for $51,005.

In August 2013, he took part in a $3,500 + $200 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the 2013 Legends of Poker in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles. Daniel placed 2nd and took home 356,115.

Other Career Highlights

In June 2014, he achieved a major milestone by winning his second WSOP bracelet. He competed in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship Event at the 45th WSOP in Las Vegas, earning $627,462.

Then, in June 2023, he finished 3rd in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship Bracelet Event at the 54th WSOP, earning $356,166. 

The following month, in July 2023, he placed 2nd in a $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. Bracelet Event for $439,662.

Most recently, in August 2024, Heimiller participated in a $400 No Limit Hold’em UltimateStack Event. It took place at the Venetian DeepStack Showdown in Las Vegas. He finished 12th and pocketed $879.
