Curtis Knight: Early Life

Curtis grew up in Toronto, Canada, where he first got into poker during high school around 2008-2009, playing casual games with friends. He continued playing while attending university but eventually paused to finish his business degree and start a marketing job in Toronto. After three years working in marketing, he rediscovered poker, this time focusing on multi-table tournaments (MTTs), and decided to take the game seriously. He started studying and investing in courses while still working his job. Later, feeling unfulfilled at work, he left his marketing job to focus more on poker.

Curtis had an advantage most players don’t: he was also a professional lacrosse player in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Lacrosse gave him enough income to live on, allowing him to spend most of his time on poker while playing lacrosse on weekends.
