Craig Varnell is an American professional poker player from Queens, New York, with over $2.7 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $379,990 came when he won the WPT Choctaw in May 2019. Throughout his poker career, he has achieved notable milestones, including winning his first bracelet at the 49th WSOP.
Craig Varnell’s first recorded live cash occurred in August 2005 at the Legends of Poker. He finished in 15th place in a $300 + 40 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $1,420.
Fast forward to April 2014. At the WSOPC Colorado, he won a prize of $14,739. In this event, Craig engaged in a $365 No Limit Hold’em and finished in 1st place.
In May 2015, at the World Poker Tour 500, Craig took 1st place in a $500 + 65 No Limit Hold’em event, winning a prize of $185,800.
Then, in July 2016, Craig placed 3rd at the WPT Choctaw. He earned $306,346 in a $3,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event #70.

In July 2024, Craig competed in a $700 + 300 Pot Limit Omaha – Mystery Bounty Bracelet Event #86 at the 55th WSOP. He ended up in 550th place, earning $1,319.
