Christer Johansson

Christer Johansson is a Swedish professional poker player from Malmö, with over $2.1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $793,882 came when he finished in 1st place at the PaddyPower Irish Poker Open in April 2009. In addition, he won the Euro Finals of Poker WPT in February 2003.

Christer Johansson: Live Tournament Participation

Christer Johansson’s first recorded live cash occurred in October 1997 during the Swedish Championships in Marbella. He finished in 1st place in a SKr1,000+ 80 No Limit Hold’em, winning $8,142.

In March 2000, Christer played in a ATS20,000 European World Series of Poker Trial during the Vienna Spring Festival. He clinched victory and won $70,061.

At the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris in February 2003, he won a cash prize of $538,213. Christer joined in a €10,000 No Limit Hold’em – WPT Event #9 and cliched another victory.

Following this, in September 2005, Christer competed in a €4,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona. He finished in 2nd place and earned $282,696.

On October 11th, 2007, he placed 3rd in a €7,500 + 300 No Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Tour – Spanish Championship in Barcelona, cashing $212,150.

Christer joined in a €3,200 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event at the PaddyPower Irish Poker Open in Dublin in April 2009. He finished in 1st place and won his biggest live cash of $793,882.

Most recently, on August 15th, 2014, he competed in a €220 + 30 H.O.R.S.E. Event #14 during the Poker SM Live in Bratislava. Christer placed 3rd and cashed $1,651.
