Chris “Apotheosis” Kruk is a Canadian poker player who currently calls Oakville his home. His career highlight includes winning the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure – PCA 2018 in Paradise Island on January 12th, 2018, where he earned $836,350. In addition to his poker achievements, he serves as a video producer for Run It Once and works as an MTT coach for the BitB staking group.
During a semester off from school, Chris Kruk chose to explore poker instead of taking up a conventional job, kickstarting his career. He acquired his poker skills from runitonce.com training videos. Unlike other players who found success during their university years, Chris later returned to complete his degree while supporting himself by coaching on the side.
His first recorded tournament occurred on June 5th, 2014, at the 45th Annual World Series of Poker, where he finished 22nd in Event #16: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw, pocketing $4,082.
Two years later, on June 24th, 2016, he made a significant leap at the 47th Annual World Series of Poker, finishing 3rd in Event #42: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout, and taking home $119,686.
Continuing his success, on June 21st, 2018, during the 49th Annual World Series of Poker, Chris secured 8th position in Event #44: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship, garnering $34,450.
On September 6th, 2020, Chris showcased his skills online during the WSOP Online 2020 at GGPoker.com, clinching 7th in Event #83: $10,000 WSOP Super MILLION$, $5M GTD, and collecting $209,609.
Most recently, on July 2nd, 2022, at the 53rd Annual World Series of Poker, he achieved 53rd position in Event #69: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Championship, receiving $23,868.
