Chia Yun Wu: Live Tournament Poker Career

Wu’s live tournament poker career began on July 20th, 2018, in Taipei City, at the Poker Master Taiwan Millions Tournament. Since then, he has participated in various events, showcasing significant achievements. Notably, on November 3rd, 2018, he achieved an impressive 3rd place at the All Japan Poker Championship in Taipei City, earning $18,388. In 2019, Wu secured 1st place in the Asia Poker League – APL Taiwan Road Series, taking home approximately $1,833.

On May 18th, 2019, Wu clinched 1st place in the NT$ 30,000 + 3,000 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller event at the PPPoker Live – PPPoker Festival in Taiwan, winning $12,047.

Highlighting Wu’s consistent progress, he reached the final table on November 1st, 2020, during the Taiwan Millions Tournament Season 9, securing 2nd place in the NT$ 4,000 No Limit Hold’em – Mini Main Event and earning $13,379.

Another notable victory occurred on June 23, 2019, in Taipei City, at the Doupai Poker Championship, where he emerged victorious in the NT$ 10,000 + 1,000 No Limit Hold’em – Head-Hunter event, securing approximately $2,036.

On July 23, 2023, in Taipei City, Wu achieved a significant milestone in the Taiwan Millions Tournament Season 14. He secured 1st place in the NT$ 6,800 + 1,200 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event (Event #19), winning his biggest cash to date of $114,935.

Moving on to Chia Yun Wu’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) journey, starting on May 31st, 2023, in Las Vegas, he participated in the WSOP $700 + $300 No Limit Hold’em – Mystery Millions (Bracelet Event 3), finishing 2289th and earning $1,061. Subsequently, on June 7, 2023, he took part in the WSOP $300 No Limit Hold’em – Gladiators of Poker (Bracelet Event 18), securing the 492nd position and earning $1,540. Continuing on June 16, 2023, Wu joined the WSOP $1,500 No Limit Hold’em – Monster Stack (Bracelet Event 39), finishing 889th and taking home $2,626.

On June 21, 2023, he also participated in the WSOP $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship (Bracelet Event 48), securing 1045th place with a prize of $1,601. Further participation on June 29, 2023, in the WSOP $700 + $300 No Limit Hold’em – Super Turbo – Bounty (Bracelet Event 68) saw Wu finish 319th and earn $1,161. Finally, on June 30, 2023, Wu competed in the WSOP $400 No Limit Hold’em—The Colossus (Bracelet Event 70), securing the 1093rd position and cashing $900.
