Charlie Shoten

Charlie “Scotty Warbucks” Shoten is an American poker player from Henderson, Nevada, with over $1.1 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $235,000 came when he finished in 2nd place at the World Poker Tour in September 2003.

Charlie Shoten recorded his first live cash in March 1997, he began by playing in the $200 + 20 Omaha Hi/Lo tournament at the Winnin’ o’ The Green in Los Angeles, where he finished in 6th place and earned $765.

Moving forward, in July 2002, Shoten achieved 1st place in the $3,000 + 50 No Limit Hold’em tournament at the Larry Flynt Grand Slam of Poker in Gardena, securing $112,800.

His success continued with a significant performance in September 2003 at the World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City. There, Shoten reached the Final Table of the $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em Championship and finished in 2nd place, earning $235,000.

Earlier, in June 2003, Shoten also demonstrated his skills by placing 2nd in the $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the California State Poker Championship in Los Angeles, earning $107,350.

Additionally, in April 2004, Shoten competed in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at the 35th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished 6th and took home $76,720.

Later, in June 2004, Shoten took 2nd place in the $2,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em tournament at Festa al Lago II in Las Vegas, earning $64,352.

Most recently, in December 2017, Shoten participated in the $125 + 15 No Limit Hold’em event at the Wynn Casino Recurring Tournaments in Las Vegas. He finished 5th and earned $200.
