Charlie Dawson is an American poker player and real estate investor from Owensboro, Kentucky, with over $1.5 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $170,943 came when he finished in 5th place at the 52nd WSOP in October 2021. During his poker career, he won five WSOPC rings. In addition, he won his first bracelet at the WSOPC Online Event 13 in June 2024.
Charlie Dawson: Live Tournament Participation
Charlie Dawson’s first recorded live cash occurred in January 2005 at the Sixth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open. He finished in 2nd place in a $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $90,929.
Fast forward to March 2013. During the Midwest Regional Poker Championship, he won $34,646. In this event, he engaged in a $700 + 20 No Limit Hold’em #9 and finished in 1st place.
Following this, Charlie joined in a $1,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Mid-States Poker Tour in Evansville in August 2014. He clinched another victory and bagged $60,527.
In October 2021, he played in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em – Monster Stack Event #30 at the 52nd WSOP. He finished in 5th place and secured his biggest live cash of $170,943.
Later in November of that year, he returned to the 52nd WSOP to join in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event #67. He placed 269th and cashed $38,600.
At theWSOP Online Bracelet Event in June 2024, he won $114,800. Charlie entered in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em – Freezout Event #13 and secured 1st place.
In a recent appearance on October 21st, 2024, Charlie competed in a $600 Pot Limit Omaha Ring Event #6 at the WSOPC in Southern Indiana. He ended up in 12th place, earning $1,312.
