Burt Boutin is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He has earned over $2.3 million in live tournament winnings and has won two WSOP bracelets. His highest live cash of $868,745 was achieved when he won the 38th WSOP in June 2007 in Las Vegas.

Burt Boutin: Early Life

Burt Boutin was born on November 18, 1967, in Landsdale, Pennsylvania. After high school, instead of pursuing a college degree, he moved to Colorado at 21 to become a stockbroker and later moved to Las Vegas in 1989 to continue his career.

In 1995, Boutin found his way into a poker room, and it didn’t take long for him to realize that poker was the perfect outlet for his decision-making abilities. The fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of poker reminded him of the stock market, making it a natural fit for his talents.

Burt Boutin: Live Tournament Participation

Burt Boutin’s first live cash was recorded in March 1998. He participated in a $540 Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas. Boutin placed 4th and pocketed $2,275.

In January 1999, he claimed victory in a $1,060 Pot-Limit Hold’em event at the Carnivale of Poker II, taking home $72,400.

He won his first WSOP bracelet in May 2001. Boutin competed in a $2,100 Texas Hold’em event at the 32nd WSOP. He took first place and claimed $193,800.

In June 2006, he was the runner-up in a $10,200 WPT Championship Event at the Mandalay Bay Poker, netting $604,765.

A year later, Boutin captured his second WSOP bracelet in June 2007, playing in a $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the 38th WSOP. He again secured the top spot, earning his best live cash to date of $868,745.

Moreover, in July 2008, Boutin competed in the Deep Stack Extravaganza III in Las Vegas. He played in the $2,400 + 100 No Limit Hold’em event, where he finished 3rd and cashed for $66,701.

In October 2021, he entered a $600 No Limit Hold’em Championship event during the Grand Poker Series in Las Vegas. Boutin placed 5th and took home $5,800.
