Bryan Kim recorded his first live cash in October 2002, he won 1st place in the $200 + $25 Limit Hold’em event at the National Championship of Poker in Inglewood, earning $35,405.

Following this success, in February 2005, he placed 3rd in the $1,455 + $125 No Limit Hold’em event at the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles, cashing $42,020.
