Blake Buffington’s poker live tournament career began in September 2003. He participated in $120 Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas. Reese Buffington in 15th place and pocketed $300.

Three years later, in July 2006, Buffington took part in $1,080 No Limit Hold’em Event at the Bellagio Cup II in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place and took home $72,500.

Following this, he claimed another victory in $2,620 Seniors Event at the April 2007 Annual Five Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. There, he secured his best live cash to date amounting to $191,030.

In April 2009, Buffington took part in $1,5980 No Limit Hold’em event also at the Annual Five Star World Poker Classic. He finished 11th, adding $60,060 to his earnings.

Couple of months later, in July 2009, he entered in a $2,100 No Limit Hold’em event at the Bellagio Cup V in Las Vegas. He placed second and took home $92,795.

Soon after, in September 2009, he finished 4th in a $560 No Limit Hold’em Deepstack event at the WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, earning $31,556.

In December 2012, he claimed 1st place in $225 No Limit Texas Hold’em-25K WKLY GUARANTEE event at the Wynn Casino Recurring Tournaments in Las Vegas, cashing for $7,017.
