Blake Buffington’s poker live tournament career began in September 2003. He participated in $120 Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas. Reese Buffington in 15th place and pocketed $300.

Three years later, in July 2006, Buffington took part in $1,080 No Limit Hold’em Event at the Bellagio Cup II in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place and took home $72,500.

Following this, he claimed another victory in $2,620 Seniors Event at the April 2007 Annual Five Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. There, he secured his best live cash to date amounting to $191,030.
