Bernard Ko started his poker career in July 2000 at the San Francisco Open in San Pablo. He entered a $100 + $20 Limit Hold’em tournament and finished in 5th place, earning $1,405.

In April 2002, he participated in the $1,500 + $60 No Limit Hold’em event at the Bay 101 Shooting Star in San Jose. Here, Ko achieved significant success by finishing in 1st place and winning $66,825.

Following this success, in May 2002, he competed in the 33rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, entering the $10,000 Championship Event, where he placed 16th and took home $50,000.

Afterward, in April 2006, Ko played in the $3,000 + $100 No Limit Hold’em event at the Fourth Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He finished 3rd and earned $70,180.

Subsequently, in August 2006, he entered the WPT Championship Event—No Limit Hold’em at the Legends of Poker in Los Angeles, finishing 15th and cashing $39,930.

Then, in May 2008, Ko participated in the $1,500 + $85 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event at Heavenly Hold’em in Los Angeles. Once again, he demonstrated his skill by finishing 3rd and took home $45,490.

Most recently, in August 2024, he played in a $250 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Survivor event at the Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. Ultimately, he finished in 1st place and won $900.
