Barry Shulman

Barry Shulman is an American professional poker player and CEO of Card Player Media born on May 8, 1946, in Seattle, Washington. Barry has accumulated over $6.2 million in live career earnings and has won two WSOP bracelets. His best live cash of $1,350,000 came when he finished in 3rd place at PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2010.

In addition, he is the author of ’52 Tips For No-Limit Hold’em Texas Hold’em’ (2005) and ‘How to Win at Online Poker’ (2014). He has a son who is also a poker player, Jeff Shulman.

Barry Shulman: Early Life

He started playing poker while studying accounting at the University of Washington. After graduating, Barry worked in real estate as a developer for 25 years. In April 2001, Barry entered in a $1,500 + 90 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Split Eight or Better at the 32nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place and won $123,820.
