Ayaz Mahmood

Ayaz Mahmood is a Pakistani-American professional poker player from Houston, Texas, with over $1.7 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $625,674 came when he clinched his first bracelet at the 41st WSOP in June 2010. Additionally, he clinched his first ring at the WSOPC Tunica in January 2006. Ayaz also appeared on Champions Poker Live.

Ayaz Mahmood debuted in CPL Episode 86 on January 7th, 2024. He participated in a $25/50 ($100) Pot Limit Omaha with Oklahoma Larry, Harry Cullen, Johnny Dapp, and others. He ended the night down $2,450.

His first recorded live cash occurred in April 2003 at the World Poker Tour Championship in Las Vegas. He finished in 10th place in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $4,044.

Following this, in June 2005, Ayaz entered in a $5,000 Short Handed No Limit Hold’em at the 36th WSOP. He finished in 5th place and earned $82,055.

At the WSOP Circuit in Tunica in January 2006, he earned a cash prize of $73,920. Ayaz joined in a $2,000 + 80 Short Handed No Limit Hold’em and finished in 1st place.

Moreover, in July 2007, he competed in a $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold’em at the 38th WSOP. Ayaz placed 37th and earned a substantial cash prize of $237,865.

Years later, Ayaz competed in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – Heads Up Championship at the 41st WSOP in June 2010. He clinched victory and won his biggest live cash of $625,674.

During the Bellagio Cup IV in Las Vegas in July 2008, he finished in 5th place. Ayaz took part in a $5,000 + 180 No Limit Hold’em and took home $50,140.

Most recently, in July 2024, he competed in a $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha – 6 Handed Bracelet Event #97 at the 55th WSOP. Ayaz placed 61st and cashed $6,532.
