Arkadiy Tsinis is a Ukrainian professional poker player and former financial analyst, backgammon player, and chess player. Now residing in Miami, Florida, he has accumulated over $2.6 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $540,136 came in June 2011 when he secured 1st place at the 42nd WSOP. Tsinis holds 1 WSOP bracelet and 7 WSOP Circuit rings and is currently ranked 8th on Ukraine’s All-Time Money List.
Tsinis, a Ukrainian-born game enthusiast, immigrated to the U.S. at 16, settling in New York City with his family. Tsinis graduated from Baruch College with a degree in finance and economics. Before becoming a professional poker player, he excelled as a backgammon champion, ranked among the top 40 players worldwide, and mastered chess. His parents, an engineer and a doctor, were initially skeptical of his gaming pursuits but later supported his career. Tsinis credits chess and backgammon as foundational to his poker success.
Arkadiy Tsinis recorded his first live cash in March 2004, finishing 9th in the $120 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2004 Sport of Kings in Inglewood, earning $595.
His best live cash came in June 2011, when he won the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 42nd WSOP in Las Vegas, claiming $540,136 and his first WSOP bracelet.
In June 2016, Tsinis competed in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker event at the 47th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 6th and earning $210,112.
A year later, in June 2017, he placed 3rd in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the 48th WSOP in Las Vegas, adding $171,208 to his poker earnings.
In January 2020, Tsinis participated in the $25,500 No Limit Hold’em event at the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open in Hollywood, finishing 2nd for $257,207.
In June 2022, he placed 2nd in the $500 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Deepstack (NV/NJ Only) event. During WSOP Online 2022 (US Only), earning $81,870.
In November 2024, Tsinis competed in the $3,500 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship in Hollywood, finishing 127th and winning $7,000.
