AP Louis Garza is an American professional poker player and a resident of San Antonio, Texas. He recently got his first WSOP Bracelet & title for $1.3 million. Garza is a bearer of a circuit ring from 2018. 

AP Louis Garza: Poker Career

His poker career started at the Rio Daily Deepstacks 2016 in Las Vegas as he finished 29th place for $287. No recorded cashing after his first official live tournament that year. In 2017, he joined two consecutive WSOP events, at the $365 H.O.R.S.E Event #9, he finished 11th place for over $1,000 while ranked 62nd for over $4,000 at the $1,675 Main Event.

In 2018, he won his first tournament at the $365 NLH  event #2, WSOP Circuit. He bagged his first six-figure cash ($158,104) against Daniel Jones among 3,052 entries. He also managed to finish third place at the $1,100 NLH Mid States Poker Tour for $266,645. Moreover, he managed to be a runner-up to David McConachie at the $500+50 NLH in the Wynn Summer Classic for $27,848. Another winning moment for Garza was when he took home the winning prize of $33,047 at the $560 NLH #7 – WinStar River Poker Series in Thackerville. 

He also participated in the Seminole Hard Rocker Poker Open (SHRPO) in Hollywood in August 2021. It was another runner-up finish for Garza he took home over $670,000 at the $5,250 NLH – SHRPO Championship – Event#34. After a month, he joined the PokerGO tour and finished the events well with earnings of over $550,00.  

Garza faced fellow Texan Arthur Morris in a short heads-up duel in the $10K buy-in event, ending the game in Garza’s favor. It was the Poker Champ’s first career bracelet after several Top 20 WSOP finishes. He amassed $1.3 million in this WSOP event in Las Vegas. 

Conclusion

As Garza added a bracelet to the WSOP Circuit ring he won last 2018, his career earnings from live tournaments reached more than $3.5 million, according to the Hendon Mob. His recent winning of $1.3 million was also his Best Live cash to date.
