Anthony Zinno is a four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and three-time World Poker Tour bracelet winner from Cranston, Rhode Island. He was a top-100 poker player and won the WPT Player of the Year award in 2015.

Anthony Zinno: Early Life

Zinno was born on August 13, 1981, in Cranston, Rhode Island. Prior to turning professional he earned a degree in chemical engineering from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Zinno then went on to Worcester Polytechnic Institute for his law degree and passed the Massachusetts State Bar exam.

Anthony Zinno: Poker Career

Zinno’s live poker tournament career began in March 2007 at the Foxwoods Poker Classic in Mashantucket, Connecticut. In July of the following year, he competed in his first WSOP main event at the 39th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Zinno finished 205th out of 6,844 players.

He competed in the Mega Stack Challenge XIV in Mashantucket in December 2009. He advanced to the final table by finishing second and earning $55,290. The following January, he finished second at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure on Paradise Island, earning $9,110.

The Beginning of Anthony Zinno’s Poker Prowess

In June 2013, he competed in the 44th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, finishing 11th and earning $23,010. He played a number of tournaments that year, including the Deep Stack Extravaganza III in Las Vegas, where he finished fourth and took home $86,964.

He also won his first WPT title in September of 2013, defeating Vanessa Selbst in a heads-up battle to win the WPT Borgata Poker Open for $825,099. Two years later, he not only won his second WPT title after winning the Fallsview Poker Classic for over $300,000 but also his third after winning the L.A. Poker Classic in consecutive performances. He finished eighth in the same event two days later, earning $6,019. He also competed in that event the following month, also online, finishing third and taking home $7,647.

Zinno is still producing excellent results in 2023. Just like his performance at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Nassau, where he finished second. In February 2023, he placed ninth in the PokerGO Tour Mixed Games in Las Vegas, earning $35,200. He also competed in another WSOP event at the 54th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, finishing fifth and earning $74,648. The following month (July), he finished seventh at the $2,500 Mixed Games: Big Bet (Bracelet Event 73), another WSOP event, taking home $19,857.

Zinno’s exceptional work continued into August 2023. He won $25,714 at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood. Two days later, in the same event, he took first place and earned $19,274.

In terms of recent live tournament participation, he was seen at the PokerGO Tour Poker Masters in Las Vegas, where he finished 17th and earned $17,100. He also took part in the World Series of Poker Circuit Online in September.
