Anthony Hu is an American professional poker player who presently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, but he was born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota. He is best known for his aggression and style of play. He Relocated to Florida and has since been constantly on the move. He also resided in Mexico and spent an adequate amount of time there during COVID. Additionally, he stated that he is considering moving to Las Vegas in order to take PokerGo matters seriously. He recently participated in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2023 in Nassau, where he had his Best Live Cash of $442,300. Hu now has more than $2,000,000 in lifetime cashes.
Anthony started playing poker tournaments in April 2017. His first tournament was at the Spring Poker Classic in Columbus. He finished eighth place over 72 participants and won $486. Four months later, in August 2017, Anthony competed in his second competition and managed to hold onto eighth position. He played in the Hollywood 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. He took home a larger prize of $1,434.
Hu has significantly improved over the past three months. He competed in the 2017 Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open in Hollywood in November of that year, earning $3,900 for finishing in 76th place.
One of Anthony’s first Top Cashes came from the World Poker Tour Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open in Hollywood, where he placed seventh and took home a whopping $85,600. Hu achieved another feat a year later. He took home a $257,821 cash prize at the 53rd World Series of Poker in June 2022 in Las Vegas. He came in third.
In January 2023, Hu played three prestigious live competitions. Anthony Hu had significant live cashes of $559,713 in just 20 days at the PokerGO Tour 2023 PokerGO Cup in Las Vegas, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in 2023 in Nassau, and the World Series of Poker Circuit ONLINE Series. He made $1,413 for placing fourteenth, $45,000 for placing second, $268,000 for placing first, $29,400 for placing fifty-third, and $74,700 for placing sixth respectively.
Anthony Hu improved on his runner-up finish in event 4 of the 2023 PokerGO Cup by winning event 5, adding $268,800 to his week’s total and vaulting to the top of the Series’ scoreboard.
He also made history when he won $442,300 as his highest recorded live cash during the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Nassau in 2023. He finished third.
Hu worked his way up in poker in the same way that many of the players in the poker world did before him, grinding his way through online cash games. He is still actively participating in live tournaments and has been striving to show up. He is still actively participating in live competitions and has made an effort to show up. He recently returned to the World Series of Poker Circuit – ONLINE Circuit, Online in August 2023. He finished fifth with a grand total of $5,457.
