Andy Alina’s first recorded live cash occurred on January 17, 2006 at the Gold Strike World Poker Open in Tunica. He finished in 9th place in a $500 + 40 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $1,994.

Shortly after, on January 18, 2006, Andy played another $500 + 40 No Limit Hold’em from the same series. He ended up in 2nd place, taking home $23,901.

Later that year, in February, Andy entered in a $3,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker. He made 9th place finish, pocketing $10,121.
