Andreas Dassopoulos’ first live cash was recorded in February 1997 at the LA Poker Classic VI in Los Angeles. He participated in a $540 No Limit Hold’em event, placing 6th and earned $3,920.

The following year, in June 1998, Dassopoulos triumphed in a $300 No Limit Hold’em event at the California State Poker Championship. He claimed 1st place, winning $37,800 in prize money.

Fast forward to April 2004, he placed 4th in a $1,500 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the 35th WSOP in Las Vegas, cashing for $35,060.
